In my junior year of high school, I founded the Mount Everest Academy (MEA) Theatre Company at my K-12 public school. The MEA Theatre Company, which is still running today, was born out of a desire to provide introductory theatrical opportunities at no cost to the students. I developed and managed the fully fundraised budget, marketed auditions and productions to the school and the greater community, and ran auditions/callbacks, rehearsals, and additional theatre company activities. In addition, I designed sets, costumes, props, sound, and lighting, produced and directed the first three main stage productions, in addition to several side projects, and hired additional staff members to direct and design future productions upon my departure in 2017. After I left for college, I helped to produce the MEA Theatre Company's production of A Midsummer Nights Dream. However, since then, I'm proud to say the company has produced two productions without my assistance.
