Adira Rosen is a director, actor, writer, and producer and recent graduate of the John Wells Directing Program at Carnegie Mellon University (’21) where she just earned her BFA in Directing. Rosen is the founder of the Mount Everest Academy Theatre Company, a youth theatre company based in San Diego, CA. She is also a co-founder of Shadyside Shakespeare, a Pittsburgh based company created during the COVID-19 pandemic focused on producing Shakespeare in a socially distant manner. In addition, Rosen served for three years on the producing committee for Playground, a festival of independent student work produced annually by the students of Carnegie Mellon University's School of Drama. In January 2019, Rosen made her playwriting debut in Playground XVI with The Golem of Pittsburgh, a short play about the aftermath of the Tree of Life shooting. Rosen is based in New York City but can often be found in sunny San Diego and Pittsburgh, PA, all places she calls home.
