In House Art Festival
Co-Founder/Producer
March - April 2020
In March of 2020, a friend and I started an online art festival to encourage collaboration and digital art creation as we entered the first few theatre-less months of the pandemic. The concept behind a traditional festival is the coming together of people to experience art, but the In House Art Festival was about embracing the distance between us and not allowing it to stop our creativity. The Festival was a prompt and a platform to inspire and encourage out-of-work artists to get into groups (virtually) and create pieces of work that could be viewed online. The festival lasted approximately one month and resulted in an archive of digital work. Additionally, one of the groups that participated in the festival has gone on to create a formal theatre company called Group 404. Inspired by the festival and our current times, they continue to innovate and create live theatre via digital platforms.
